THE ROAMING SPECTRUM

The Befriending Scheme logo.

It's Henry's fault!

Henry, a prominent member of the Retro Hardware Discord (and a jolly decent fellow) had a ZX Spectrum+2 that he had no real use for.  Solution: Send it to YouTubers and makers around the globe and let them have some fun with it.  Some will modify it.  Some will expand it.  Some will play with it.  Some will take it for adventures.  When the Roaming Spectrum eventually makes it home for good, it will be sold for charity:  The Befriending Scheme to be specific.  Lee (of More Fun Making It fame) has made an introductory video to further explain what this is all about!  Watch it by clicking below!

The Roaming Spectrum Arrives in Kitchener.

My turn!

In late August 2025 Rudy from Rudy's Retro Intel packed up the Roaming Spectrum and sent it all the way from Wasaga Beach, Ontario to me here in Kitchener, Ontario [155km/96mi].

The picture shows the unboxed Roaming Spectrum in it's new temporary home watched over by a fellow Spectrum and PET-4032.

I'm not a YouTuber.  But I do have a camera.  And a website.

Keep tuned to see how the Roaming Spectrum spent its time with me...
